A NOTE ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Matthew Sargent was born a number of years ago and began drawing things shortly after that. Over the years, he continued to draw things, honing his skills and creativity. He found that the appeal of drawing came from its ability to come as close as humanly possible to truly creating something from nothing. He would experiment with other artforms with that ability, such as music and writing, but his real passion would always be with drawing, with bringing to life visuals that had never before been seen by eyes. Eventually, he attended Columbia College Chicago and obtain a BFA in Illustration and become a pen-for-hire. He has used his gifts in a number of capacities, drawing storyboards for films, backgrounds for a puppet show, illustrations for children's stories, and comic strips for his own enjoyment. He is the artist behind the work on www.skippinginfinity.com and www.bagdropcomic.com.
A NOTE FOR ATTENDEES TO BECOME VOLUNTEERS:
Conventions are a place to express your passions. At C2E2, Traffick Free will be there to share our passions with fans and creators alike. Creators will be planted at their own tables for the majority of the convention and will be selling their own comics, prints of their own work, as well as drawing commissions for fans.
In an effort to express our passions with our fellow artists on the floor, the creator of the piece above, Matthew Sargent, has created Traffick Free's own characters we can commission other artists to draw. We encourage all of our supporters to attend C2E2, stop by our booth for one of our postcards with our TF "team" on it, and then commission individuals in Artist Alley to draw or re-imagine our characters. This will give us the chance to plant a seed about the injustice of human trafficking in Chicago and know there are real heroes engaged in the fight. Volunteers at the Traffick Free booth will be available to offer assistance.

We are looking for volunteers to be at the booth at the convention as well. Traffick Free volunteers will receive free admission to the expo.
